'The Old Faces Gallery'

We like to hear from you! (This is one of the reasons we do this job!)

To us each horse that passes through Stubley Hollow Farm has their own individual character - we get to know them all and some we grow to love.  When they leave us we love to hear of their progress and it makes our work so rewarding when we receive cards, letters and photos of horses that we have produced and sold to you.  Photos and correspondence we keep - and whether it is to hear that you have just gained confidence or qualified for the Royal International we like to hear from you all.  These are some of the comments from letters that we have received:

•  “ Just thought we would let you know you sold us a gem”.

•   “Thanks for a fantastic pony, I always liked him but having started off with my 10 year old he is now (1 and a half          years later) so much fun that I have lost 3 stone so that I can ride him. Hunted him for the first day today and           younger daughter will now have to fight me for him"

•  “We won at the Scottish Championships this weekend and are now heading for the British Championships at the end       of August.”

"A photo of Heathcliffe, he has been a star.  He has been everything my parents requested, we could not have asked for more."

The following photos are a few of the great variety that some of you have sent to us!  Thanks so much for keeping in touch--we really love to hear from you and are delighted to know that horses we have had at Stubley are doing so well! Thanks also for continuing the good work with them--great to see them make progress and be in the ribbons!  All your good news really does make this job worth doing as does the tremendous variety of jobs our horses go on and do--from Hunt and Masters horses to first ponies, family friends, happy hackers, show horses, eventers to show jumpers.  Good luck to you all and remember to keep in touch.

Some of the photos above were originally published in the ‘Horse and Hound’ magazine and reprinted here, courtesy of them.  Also originally printed in the ‘Horse and Hound’ is a photo of the Master leading the field of our local pack the Barlow Hunt.   Another Irish recruit!  It’s always super to get photos of previous Stubley horses and even more special when you have done well enough to appear in equestrian magazines.

………...and last but definitely not least!  This is Sox (Four Socks as we knew him).  Remember the 'Calendar Girls'?  The whole Hollywood Story started with the making of 'The' Calendar'!  This is from 'The' original and look who's smiling for January!  Delighted it is one of our very favourites from Stubley Hollow and boy has he landed in clover.  No comments now … but what a lucky horse and such a character that he deserved to get this job and such a lovely home too.  Thanks for flying the Stubley Hollow Flag 'Sox' … you are real a Hollywood star!!

Keep sending us your photos and let us know if you want to them to appear in this section of our website!  Stubley Hollow horses go everywhere-- recent International departures have travelled to France,  the United States and Jersey!
